It will make China one of the few countries with a The largest green wall in China, called the "Great Green Wall" or "Three-North Shelter Forest Program" is being built since already almost five decades (since 1978) along the border of the Gobi desert with approximately 70 billion trees and shrubs planted to date.

The "Great Green Wall" is scheduled for completion around 2050 with a length of about 4,500 km.
