Apple's new flagship store in Beijing opened last Friday

Apple's newest store in Beijing opened last Friday (July 17) despite harsh criticism in a speech delivered on Thursday by Attorney General William Barr attacking a raft of American tech companies, including Apple, for playing by China’s rules. He singled out Apple for being “acquiescent to the Chinese Communists.”

The new store comes 12 years after Apple opened its first store in Beijing at the same location in Sanlitun.
