China Connected, The Roof of the World on the Electricity Grid

CHINA CONNECTED, The Roof of the World on the Electricity Grid | The Tibet Autonomous Region infrastructure is well in development. While in 2006, the first train connection was established from Qinghai province to Lhasa and a second rail track under construction from Chengdu top Lhasa, three weeks ago world’s highest ultra-high voltage transmission project has been put into operation in the Tibet Autonomous Region.

The transmission lines are running from Qinghai province through mountains and valleys with altitudes up 5,300 meters above sea-level.
