China is greening our planet | China alone accounts for 25% of the global net increase in green leaf area in the period 2000-2017 while only holding 6.6% area of the world, according the World Economic Forum.

Around 42% of the greening seen in China comes from the expansion of forest while 32% is coming from cropland expansion.

The green expansion in China alone since 2000 is the same size as the efforts in United States, Canada and Russia combined.
