𝟭. December 6 - Ships sail through the aqueduct of the Goupitan Hydropower Station in Yuqing county, #Guizhou province. With a total length of 2,306 meters, the Goupitan Hydropower Station's navigation project consists of upstream and downstream approach channels. The lift can elevate vessels of up to 500 tons up or down a vertical distance of 100 meters. Project construction began in 2011 and first traffic started to move through in June this year.

𝟮. December 9 - Chinese astronauts conducted a science lecture 400 kilometers above Earth to millions of students in China, live from the Tiangong space station. The members of the Shenzhou XIII mission crew, Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu showed students how they live and work inside the space station, currently consisting of a core module, a spacecraft and two robotic cargo spaceships.

𝟯. December 5 – New Year’s festival for the Dong minority in Zhaoxing, Liping county, Guizhou province. The festival is all about celebrating the harvest and a new beginning with new clothes, cleaning homes, and preparing meats and foods for wintertime. As one of the 55 ethnic minorities in China, the Dong minority has a population of about 3 million people, predominantly living in #Guizhou, #Hunan and #Guanxi provinces.

𝟰. December 6 – Fengxian Temple in the renowned Longmen Grottoes in #Luoyang, #Henan province, is undergoing a major preservation and restoration project. The Longmen Caves are some of the finest examples of Chinese Buddhist art, built between the year 493 and 1127.

𝟱. December 8 – Police officers ride a horse-drawn sleigh to pay visits to people in rural areas after a heavy snowfall in Altay, #Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

𝟲. December 6 – Students study for the upcoming national entrance exam for postgraduate studies at the library of Hebei University of Engineering in Handan, #Hebei province. The exam is scheduled for December 25-27.
