While China has gone into digital smartphone advertisement and e-commerce in no time, it does not mean that the traditional advertisement boards have disappeared. Elevators are especially popular for big brands to promote their products and services in China.

This volume will probably not decrease in coming years as many old residential buildings will be upgraded with elevators. For example Beijing's regulation was that residential buildings with more than 6 floors must have elevators. This is why you see many older 6 floor buildings around to avoid the elevator requirement at the time. Nowadays newly built residential buildings usually are higher rise and include elevators.
Other cities have similar regulations and incentives to upgrade the convenience of residential building with elevators, especially with the increase of elderly people living in apartments.

A traditional hot spot for your product advertisement promotion, see in this post some advertisements from our residence and office elevators in recent months (usually changed every 2 weeks or so).
