From land-locked to high speed land-linked...

𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥-𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥-𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘥....

China's first international connecting high speed train track is ready and scheduled for operation next month (December 2021), 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗲, 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝗼𝘀. The first train arrived in Vientiane last month.

Shortening the trip from a 20-25 hours car drive to a 8-10 hours train ride, the little over 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗸𝗺 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝟲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟭𝟲𝟳 𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 (a total of 590km) and dozens of bridges. Train speeds are expected at 160km/h. Major train stations are ready for operation and it is scheduled that about 30 stations will be opened along the route in coming years.

𝗔 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱-𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮-𝗟𝗮𝗼𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲. The beautiful Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture bordering Laos will turn from a beautiful hidden end corner of China to a shining border gateway to Laos and SE Asia.

The Kunming-Vientiane Railway is part of the strategic development of the Kunming-Singapore Railway connection, also called 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗻-𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸; various high speed railway tracks linking Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia and Myanmar with at one end Singapore and the other end Kunming as gateway to the Chinese 38,000km high speed railway network.

The network will be a major backbone for 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 (𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗣) commencing in less than 2 months.

𝘈𝘯 𝘶𝘯𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦, 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘺.
