China installed about 600,000 5G base stations in 2020 coming to a total of about 700,000, more than twice the installations in the rest of the world. The ambition is to install another 1 million stations this year. Last year Shenzhen became the first large city in China to be 100% 5G covered and about 140 million people subscribed to 5G networks last year.

Even though numbers certainly do not say it all as efficiency, integration and other technology factors play a vital role as well in the 5G performance, China is moving fast forward into a 5G society.
If the perspective is that 5G is ‘just’ a faster mode of 4G, read following article ‘𝟱𝗚 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝘁’ by the World Economic Forum.

Health care, infrastructure, environment or agriculture are just some of the sectors in society which will undergo high-tech revolutions based on the 5G rollout during coming years, along with other high-tech evolutions in #artificialintelligence and #bigdata.
