Will this cute, adorable mini EV transform sustainable urban mobility ?

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗘𝗩 is taking China’s EV market by a speedy storm, having surpassed Tesla’s model 3 in no time. Only launched early summer last year, the 4-seater Hongguang Mini was already the number one EV from July-October 2020 with more than 55,000 orders.

With its compact urban mobility size, an amazing price of appr. 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼. 𝟯,𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬, its cute look and standard features such as anti-lock brakes, rear parking and tire pressure sensors, airco, electric windows and stereosystem, it is very successfully filling the compact EV urban mobility gap in the Chinese market overlooked by other manufacturers.

The car is produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile in Southern China’s Liuzhou City (Guanxi). Yes, the city renowned for its Luosifen (stinky snail rice noodles) 😊

During the 2020 Chengdu auto show, there was a show model of a sturdy Hongguang “Supermini” 6x6 pick-up on display, a wonderful counter cliché to all those huge pick-up monsters :-).
